OVERVIEW

ECOMMERCE SITE FOR A FACIAL WAND MASSAGER

SUMMARY
‍Tua Face Fitness is an ecommerce website that sells facial wands that provide an electro muscle simulation for toning both and neck muscles. As their designer and developer, I was charged with implementing the designs in both Shopify and later WordPress.

CHALLENGE

DESIGNING FOR BOTH EDUCATION & COMMERCE. LATER SWITCHING TO A DIFFERENT PLATFORM.

PROBLEM
The site needed to have its design implemented on Shopify in such a way that it would explain both the product as well as facilitate user purchase. However, using the Shogun Page Builder was a sizable monthly investment (about $39/month). Factoring in other expenses, a decision was made to have the site transfer to WordPress.

SOLUTION
Keep up with the client's request and revamp the site on both platforms, as well as maintain client expectations and the limits of each platform.

DESIGN ITERATIONS

SHOGUN PAGE BUILDER
In the beginning, Shopify did not have any robust design capabilities as WordPress. Users were stuck using premade templates. In order to implement the client's exact design, the page builder Shogun had to be utilized.

ELEMENTOR + WOOCOMMERCE > SHOGUN PAGE BUILDER
As Shogun Page Builder costs $39 per month, a decision was made to move the site from Shopify to WordPress. While this meant saving money in the long term, it also meant that I had to redesign the site once more from scratch.

QUICK ON MY FEET
The rebrand was a success, positioning Maque Enterprise as an established company that users can trust and understand what services are being offered. The client has said that he's has gotten more meetings with potential clients that have visited the website.

WORDPRESS HAS A STRONGER ECOSYSTEM
In addition to being cheaper, WordPress has a more robust ecosystem of plugins. Woocommerce satisfies all the ecommerce requirements, and works well in tandem with Elementor, as it's more user friendly than Shogun Page Builder.
